Pay Per View vs Pay Per Click AdvertisingSunday, January 10. 2010It is obvious to those who have been surfing and or marketing online for many years that PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising was once a fantastic way to get high quality traffic to your website. Over the past recent years, things have changed a little bit when it comes to PPC advertising methods. For one thing, Google was and still is the best place for that venue. It used to be that someone with a limited budget could easily get some exposure online and bring in enough sales to justify paying for more expensive keywords and better placement on Google's search result pages. The highest current bidder wins the top placements every time a search is performed using their chosen keywords. A great trick I used to use was to utilize Google's PPC advertising to get a new website listed in Google's directory quickly. I could do that without paying for the keywords by selecting great keywords and only bidding to pay 1 cent per click. This would cause my ads to be placed so far down the list of search results that nobody would see it and thus not click on it. Since my ad would receive zero clicks, I wouldn't have to pay anything, but the link to my ad was included in Google's ad rotation, and thus within their database and so Google's web crawling bots would find and recognize my link and list it in their directory within a few days! It was great, because even if I didn't have any money, I could get my website included in the directory quickly. WIthout tricks like that, someone could end up waiting for a month or two to even be included in the directory! Then from there the hard part was to get my website listed higher up in the results. These days if you bid too low on a good keyword, then the keyword will not be activated. So much for that trick. Also,... the bidding amounts have gone crazy! It used to be that you could bid 5 or 10 or 20 cents per click and get a nice keyword. Now the prices are absolutely outrageous. You can pay $4 per click for some of the decent keywords! That adds up very quickly,... especially when you will need hundreds of clicks to get serious results. Here's one more problem: When someone clicks, you have to pay, but you don't even know if they looked at your website page or just immediately exited off of it before it fully loaded up. That is a serious waste of your money. Now there is another great way to get inexpensive traffic to your website and guarantee that when your money is spent, the web surfer actually sees your full website page. It's called PPV (Pay Per View) Advertising and it will much more affordable for those who are starting with a limited budget. The only people and or businesses who can seriously compete online with PPC advertising are those with large enough budgets. But if you don't have a large budget, please don't waste your time and effort, because you will be disappointed and disheartened with the results and the serious drain on your bank account. There are many ways to build exposure and attract quality website visitors to see your product or service. PPV is one of those methods that is great to start off with until you can build enough income to explore other methods. Good luck and best wishes to you in your online efforts! Generating Free Traffic With Article MarketingThursday, January 7. 2010If you have ever wondered how to generate website traffic without spending money, then you have probably jumped onto the search engines to do as much research as possible. You have probably also found yourself overwhelmed with an amazing amount of related and unrelated information on how to make money online and how to advertise and market your products and or services on the internet. It would seem that most of the products and services out there will make huge promises about how you don't have to work hard or even put in any effort at all. This is absolutely not true, and please don't fall for it. It is true that there are creative ways to generate income online, but every single method will require some effort on your part. Keep this rule of thumb in mind: If it doesn't take effort on your part, then it will require you to spend money for someone else or some other company to put in the effort. Many of the resources that I have used for advertising have promised that it won't be hard at all. I have found this to be only partially true, but each of those resources also held valuable information that actually was very usefull. My experiences have brought me to an important conclusion: Those individuals who will be extremely disappointed with how to make money online will be those individuals who went into each program or campaign with the preconceived notion that they will not have to put in any effort and that all they will have to do is the equivalent of "plug it in and watch it go"! I'm sure there are ways to start a business online or even make some spare cash on the internet without doing much, but realistically those will be rare situations and if you want to save yourself ALOT of hassle and heartache, then don't expect that to be true for yourself. Trust me when I say, "Go into it with the idea that you will either have to be creative, mindlessly work very hard for many hours per week (such as data entry or tons of copying and pasting, or you will have to take huge risks with your money to pay someone else with experience to bring in the paying customers for you. Then after you have been going at if for a while, you might end up getting lucky and finding a way to generate revenue without much continued effort! The point is, ... just about every successful internet entrepreneur who came up with an intelligent way to make money online without much effort had to first put in plenty of time doing research and trying different techniques and programs, ... all the while mentally collecting the valuable tid bits from each different source and discarding the useless information until they found a way to combine the best pieces of information and put that knowledge to use in a way that fit their personal interests and talents. If you like writing, or if you don't mind writing alot, then there is a great way for you to begin generating interest in your product or service. It is called Article Marketing. This is an example of a method that does not require your money, but will require your creativity and your time. Once you have written an article and it is live on the internet with your links included inside it, then you will have created passive income. As long as the article remains online, your links will be existing on a platform that naturally attracts plenty of high quality internet traffic. You can write your own articles, you can use free articles given away from various resources, or you can even have the option of purchasing high quality articles from reputable sources. It doesn't matter if they are paid for or free articles, ... the most important point is that they must be interesting and contain keywords and subject matter that is related to the product or service you are trying to promote. The search engines regularly index and crawl websites with relevant subject matter. The entire point of a search engine is to provide information that is relevant to the keywords typed into the search box. Why try to work so hard to trick the search engines when you can give them what they want! Write as many articles and blog posts as you can and flow with the opportunities that already exist while utilizing the existing framework for reaching high quality prospects. After all, ... when they type in key words related to your product or service and they find your article, ... they will only click on it if they are interested! If they then proceed to read your article, then you know there is a good chance they will be interested in your product! And if they click on your link, then you have just received a visitor to your website or your affiiliate website that is actually interested in your product or service, ... and it was free! People and businesses pay huge amounts of money to receive exactly that (highly qualified website visitors). The fact that you are reading this right now proves that it works! Use as many marketing methods as you think necessary, but definitely add Article Marketing to your internet advertising arsenal. Here is a great resource that explains more about how to benefit from Article Marketing. Please save yourself alot of time and hassle and benefit from the research that they have already done! Remember --- you are here because it works. And many other people will be reading your articles and posts because it works! Good luck and have fun! More resources will be added soon! Starting Your Business and Living the American Dream - Have We Forgotten?Sunday, December 28. 2008
Let me first say that America is an amazing country to live in. Further more, America has an enormous amount of opportunities available to it's citizens. So why do so many people living in the United States of America spend their lives dreaming about fulfilling their dreams and starting a business, only find themselves in a state of regret many years down the road?
Perhaps the answer has something to do with taking things for granted. Or maybe it is just a case of forgetting what this beautiful country is all about! Could it be that those particular people just don't want it bad enough? There could be a variety of reasons why a particular person has not lived their dreams. But I know one thing for sure. It is not because the U.S.A. does not offer the opportunities, freedoms, and the resources needed to "Live the American Dream." In my experiences I have seen that it is quite the opposite. The United States of America offers many more resources and doorways to opportunity than most areas on this wonderful planet that we call Earth. I have a home in the U.S.A. and I also have a home in China. Thus I have traveled to the other side of the world several times and have been to at least 5 very different countries. I am the owner of an import/export business which connects me with a variety of global locations. Through my travels and through the many friends, family, and the many business contacts I have made (many of whom have traveled all over the world), I have come to learn that "Opportunity" is what the world craves! What the human spirit needs is a dream. We also need the opportunity along with the resources and the freedom necessary to build that dream. There are so many beautiful countries in this world. They all have their own virtues, strengths, and weaknesses. One country may have the opportunities, but not the freedom. Another country may have the freedom, but they don't have the opportunity. Yet another country might have the freedoms and the opportunities, but they don't provide the general public with the resources needed to bring it all together. But the United States provides all three! So why are there so many U.S. citizens complaining about their lives? Why do they think they have it so bad? Why have they stopped chasing their dreams? But a really good question is, why are there so many people that immigrate to the United States with very little money and eventually end up owning their own businesses? I believe it is because when they first arrive in America, they notice that it is the first time they have ever had the real chance to fulfill their dreams and goals. They saw that with hard work, persistence, and dedication, their goals could be achieved. I think that many of us Americans have forgotten what we have. I think that many of us have forgotten that creativity and persistence is a large part of what built our fruitful economy. If more of us could visit different countries and experience different cultures, especially areas that do not cater to tourists, then we would have a much greater appreciation for what is available to us. And we might even get that spark of life and adventure back! So the next time you think about living your dreams and starting a business from scratch and believe that it is impossible, ... think again! I used to be a single parent with no visible chance at success. But I took another look at what this country has to offer, and now I have traveled to the other side of the world, and created an offline and an online business. Who knows what the future will bring to you, but If you don't seek it, you definitely will not find it! If you live in the USA and you're ready to work hard and put some dedication into it, then all you have to do is open your eyes to the amazing amount of opportunity surrounding you. And when you think you can't do it, just remember one thing, ... you're an American! This is the Country of Big Business, and of Entrepreneurs! So get on the internet, get creative, and start searching for what it is that you need to get that business you've dreamed of started! http://www.globalque.com/ http://globalque.blogspot.com/ http://iblog.at/globalque/ http://www.squidoo.com/globalque Doing Business in China - Ten Tips For a Good First ImpressionTuesday, November 25. 2008If you're getting ready to travel to China for business, there are a few things to remember that might make your business talks go a little smoother.
